I don't have enough space at home so some of my customs are stored actually!
I use those plastic boxes like this one:

There are many formats, higher, bigger, smaller etc etc
Just pay attention if ponies are sticky, I try to put a bit of space between one and another to avoid in case troubles of this kind  :)

I put any stored custom in a ziploc bag to keep any paint/sealer from touching another pony.  The sandwich bags aren't always big enough so I have the quart sized.  Then, I use tubs (like the one above!).

If you have any with fragile sculpted parts I would recommend getting some ornament dividers to put in your bin.  I've had a couple broken in storage and wish I'd had something to keep them from banging into each other!  World of difference after I divided them up!

I have quite a few of my (custom) ponies stored in plastic boxes like the one Izrabeth showed. They are wrapped in tissues and/or plastic bags to avoid any risk of anything rubbing off or bleeding through.

I agree, plastic shoeboxes with cardboard/tissue paper dividers and some padding for the more delicately sculpted ones!  :)

I can't rememeber if it was imortalpanda or animeamy who recommended shipping and storing custom ponies with polyester fiber fill, but I've always likes the idea. :)
My creativity keeps running into a lack of time and resources.
I'm also available via twitter at @Kazzellin :)

So many projects!! What do I want to work on? :awake:

That IS a good idea!  Maybe rip open an old bean bag chair and pour it's contents and all your ponies in a big bin!  Lol!  I would so do that...

What size ponies are your customs?  I've already decided that for the G4 sets that I'm working on that I'm going to get one of those huge suitcase-type things that Warhammer gamers keep their miniatures in.  They come with big, puffy sheets of foam that stack inside and are perforated in little squares.  You can then pull the squares out to make a spot that's the perfect size for the individual model (or in this case, pony).  I do think any other generation would be too big for this idea, though.  Also, those cases aren't cheap.  But I do think it'd offer super good protection!
