I know that snuzzle was released again for the 25th edition. Do they look identical to the ones in the 80's if so is there a way to tell the difference? Also how much is a mint snuzzle going for from both lines? I really need to get back into this, I feel clueless...

They are similar, but not identical. The re-release has flat feet, is shorter and the eyes are not quite the same. :) Her hair is also off, not quite as nice.

I dont have a comparison picture unfortunately but there is a really obvious appearance difference - the new one just looks less well made...they also say 2007 under their feet.

Probably $5-6 for her concave foot and $10 for her flat foot version.
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

Hmm. I was going to dig up some pictures to compare the two, but then I noticed they really do look similar! Not at all like the other two in the anniversary release; they look much different than the originals.

I expect they wouldn't have "Hasbro 1982/83" under their hooves though :P

They also don't feel the same as they are made of a harder plastic..the newer ones that is.  When I first saw them in a thrift store bag I thought I had found G1's.  Something looked a little off with them and when I got them home and could put my glasses on I realized they were marked with a current date.

Big difference in color in hair as well as shape and size of eye.  G1 on left. I was going to add I don't have your pony, but the eye and plastic factor is the same with all of them.  G1 eyes are a lot bigger. This is Parasol, I never got the Snuzzle because, I am trying to find them at the Thrift store.  The holes for the tails are wayyyy smaller and the hair quality is not as good as the G1s. I love them though...and they when they remade them they picked the worst mold..the short little legs so they fall over on their noses easily.

I went looking for a comparison pic, I thought there was one floating around here, but I can't seem to find the thread.

Yes the differences are pretty glaring. Also the re-releases are made of different materials - they're harder plastic, not squishy like our lovely old girls.

I have a new and an old Cotton Candy, and the new one is a lot shorter. Also she constantly wants to pitch over forwards. Hmmm. But yes, as people have said you can tell the difference as the new ones have flat hooves & the more recent date, if nothing else.
