Getting Glued Head off G3s?
« on: September 22, 2012, 03:45:52 PM »
What's the easiest method to do this?  I have two G3s that could use some work but the glued on heads have me wary of starting.  I've worked with these in the past, but that was before I found out that they do have neck plugs despite the heads being glued on (which is absolutely ridiculous, if you ask me).

You can either cut the neck seam with an exacto knife or you can run the pony's neck under hot water and try pulling the head off.
Good luck!

I did this once with a xacto knife it was very difficult to get the head off even after soaking it in oxyclean and hot water.

Thanks, you guys.

Didn't have as much patience as I thought with the hot water, so I just went straight for the Xacto.

Snow-glo was in demon mode and decided not only that she wouldn't give me her head, but also that she wouldn't let go of her hair.  She had lumps of glue in there that were so huge, they couldn't even fit through the neck hole!

Rainbow Flash, however, was in angel mode:  quick and easy head removal and even quicker hair removal.  That's my girl. :)
