Any vegans on here? :)

I was vegetarian for like 4 years till I got pregnant with my son. I also have dead thing/ shuld be alive thing related phobias so I don't use many animal products (anything that resembles a living thing, snake skin, wool, leather) but I am not/ was not actually vegan.

Not vegan/veggie but I've been cutting back to some extent. Whilst living at home being a veggie isn't an option since my parents control most of the cooking/food buying (and going veggie would cause no end of arguments, my oldest brother was a vegetarian for a year or two and it caused a lot of strife) but I've cut back on a lot of 'junky' meat based stuff partly because my older brother has been on a diet. I don't really 'crave' the junky stuff them anymore. I admit I was tempted to buy a big sasaauge roll one a few days ago then saw the 'sat fat' content and went 'uh no' since that was a 'snack' food that would take up most of the requirement which seemed like a bad idea.

I think I could go veggie (or mostly veggie since I love my candy ) not sure if I could go vegan though.

Not vegan, but I've been a vegetarian for 9 years. I don't drink milk or eat gelatin either and only I eat eggs once a year... Deviled eggs at Christmas parties are just too tempting.

I've been a veggie for the past 28 years. I eat noodles which have egg in, and I eat cheese sometimes, that's about it.

I don't eat meat, but I still love to eat fish and seafood, but I am trying to cut back on the fish.
I wish I could be vegan, but I think it would be too difficult to incorporate into daily life. I haven't eaten meat now for 13 years. I love tofu dishes, and the Chinese know how to cook it! There are some awesome Buddhist restaurants here, and they are all vegan. They have the most delicious and creative food you can imagine.
Recently I have an egg-craving, I could eat them every day. But I have never really liked cheese (only goat cheese, yummy!), and I hate milk. But I love chocolate and all kinds of cookies and cakes.

I don't eat meat but fish from time to time (once or twice a month)
I think I can't live without cheese and some other things like eggs and milk from time to time.

I wish I could be vegan. I hate how animals are factory farms on treated. Sometimes I feel as though I am selfish for eating meat when I know an animal has to suffer so much for it......  :/

I wish they would eradicate the horrible conditions these animals have to go through and give them a decent life and humane death.

You could try to research places around your home that has animals that are properly raised and that you can purchase from. I can see why people want to avoid meat/animal products when there are so much awful treatment involved...

I guess I'll also add, if getting meat was only obtainable in grocery stores and such like that--- I probably wouldn't eat it... but the (cow) meat we get comes from a family friend-- so I know that these cows are raised very well. I can eat that meat happily....... but then when I go out to a restaurant I feel very uncomfortable because I have no idea where the meat is coming from.

I'm vegetarian. I don't eat any meat or poultry at all. Couldn't pay me to eat it! On a VERY rare occasion I'll be forced over to the darkside and try a bite or two of some seafood though - usually only thanks to a stubborn family member or friend who shove it in my face until I try some (usually as part of a holiday dish they made or something). I do eat dairy products and eggs but that's it.

I'd love to be vegan though. I feel bad enough about the cheese, milk, and eggs!

If I was shown some awesome substitutes I could totally see myself switching over.

I guess I just need some more recipe books!

I'm vegetarian for just over 10 years - would love to go vegan, but it's not easy to find vegan food in iceland. :/ I do eat vegan food when it's available though!

I'm neither vegan nor vegetarian, but I don't eat pork. I really don't like the way they treat pigs, and I won't support it. However, I'm not against eating animals in general. I just don't approve the cruelty involved in raising them.

I am not vegan anymore, but I was raised vegan for medical reasons until the age of about 15.

I was a vegan for several years. Unfortunately I moved to an isolated bit of Texas and suffered some serious health issues, so I am now vegetarian, though I have held on to a lot of vegan tendencies. I would like to switch back again at some point, but for now, I'm happy with where I'm at.
