So I went into Hot Topic, saw this FiM shirt, and thought that it must have been some printing error... then I checked all the shirts.... and they all had the same issue... and it's on the online photo as well:

visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Why is Twilight blue? And trust me, it's not the photo, it really does look like that in person.
It looks like all of the "lighter" purple is this pale blue color - Spike, Rarity, Sweetie Belle, Celestia...

I guess it's supposed to be that way but why?? The shirt is nice besides that...

I saw this yesterday! I complained to the cashier but she just told me "then don't buy it" :/

I have an idea, maybe they had limited colors, and they could only use a certain few?

Maybe they had a problem with the printer when they made the shirts? There were all sorts of errors on the G1 shirts they used to release prior to FIM... I just got used to Cotton Candy being Blossom's colors and such.

Everyone is looking a little... blue.

I have no idea how t-shirt printing works, but maybe they calibrated their t-shirt printer wrong. Or ran out of red ink when they printed the purple parts. Seems weird though since Applebloom looks ok.

Cute shirt thought.

It's so dang cute, but the colors are just so terrible! There are so many colors on the shirt besides the purple - including good purples!

All the colours look a little off...a little heavy on the the cyan I think

I think after all the years of previous merch, I am used to random mistakes - colour issues being a minor one sometimes!

When coloring clothes using silk screen, the colors are printed one at a time, so maybe they forgot to put the pinkish/red hue that would make the purple, or they didn't have enough machinery to get all the colors and decided to leave it blue instead of purple.

I liked the shirt despite the color issues, so I got it anyway. I just chalked it up to the company not having the correct colors of ink.

Huh, at first I thought maybe they had issues printing medium-light purple, but then I noticed Twilight's eyes are purple, so I don't know, that's just weird. It looks like the bottom half of the shirt has been washed too many times and faded...

I saw that shirt the other day too! I thought it was really weird with the colors like that!
