Can you tell me about this pony?

I got this today and I was having some trouble finding information about her:

Looks like G3 Daisy Jo ... but has the plastic tail similar to Mc Donald's toys but not in the same pose. Perhaps from another restaurant chain or part of a larger toy?

I'm not sure, but that'd be my guess...   Maybe a more experienced collector could suggest?  Either way, she's really pretty, and good find!

I thought it looked like Daisy Jo also, but I could not find one like that.

Hello. Thank you. It does look like that Daisy Jo. I hope someone can confirm or deny.
She has tiny writing on her stomach that is too small for me to read. Also on her foot is a little bigger writing 'N39'.
She is a little bit taller than my other Mcdonalds ponies.

So, what does 'Mexican' Daisy Jo actually mean? Made there or released there?

From the little I've gleaned, I think they're released in Mexico (but made in China, probably), as part of their Cajita féliz (Happy Little Box) meals, like Happy Meals stateside, or Joyeux Festin up here.  Other countries sometimes have different lines of toys than USA & Canada do, and at different times.  The ponies like the one you have were released in 2004 in Mexico and Argentina (according to www.mylittlewiki.org , one of the many sites I've bookmarked as indispensable for pony info, especially since I'm relatively new back into the collecting scene).  We didn't see ponies until 2005, and they were in totally different poses from the Daisy Jo you've found.  There were three others in the Mexican release: Winter Snow, Star Swirl, and Butterscotch, and they are all so cute!   Once again, congrats on the wonderful find, and I hope that helps.

Sugar hit the nail on the head with the info there They are essentially McDonalds toys and she is "Mexican" because thats where she was released!
