Am I the only one that thinks G3's look like dinosaurs if you take away their ears and hair?

This was my first attempt at thrifting after picking up pony collecting again. I didn't mind spending my entire day off doing this either, because all the thrift stores around here donate their profits to either Children's Hospital or ASPCA - seems like a good thing to do on a day like today, you know? Anyway, I wasn't expecting to find anything but was pleasantly surprised!

First, lots of G3's! It's okay that they're messy because that means that they were someone's friend~ ;u;
I'm going to have a fun time restoring them, haha.

A lot of the ponies could only be sold in bags with other toys included, so I ended up with a few fakies too. That's okay. I can practice making customs on them once I get around to learning. Or if anyone collects fakies I can sell them.

Finally, I found an official 1984 coloring book! The cover is a little worn but the pages are all smooth and untouched. (Guess some kid really didn't like coloring!) It includes all its pages. So lovely. And only for 29 cents!

Does anyone know a good way to remove the price sticker without leaving behind marks, residue, or tears?

That coloring book is awesome!! Pull slowly on the sticker? You'd think the glue would give away easily since it's been on there for 20+ years, haha.

Lord, how do you keep a coloring book in that nice of shape for 20 years?!

  It should be illegal to put stickers on books.
  Okay, maybe not that extreme. But I have ruined books before trying to get stickers off. Not even used books. Sometimes the sticker from the store will leave damage. I mean, if it's for a device to prevent shoplifting I'll forgive it, but this usually is not the case.
  Oh, wait, you were bragging, weren't you? My bad.  That's a nice set of ponies you have there! A good selection of G3s overall. That little fakie with the loose head is adorable!
  Maybe you could try getting the sticker damp. Really lightly damp, what with the paper cover. Sigh.

Thrift stores are great! Very cool find. This is what I am going to do this weekend! Sounds like fun.

Thanks for the tip, NoPonySpecial. I've also considered using an iron at low heat (with a cloth in-between to prevent damage or burns) to warm up the glue on the sticker. Maybe it will come loose. I'm not sure.

I'm fixing up everyone's hair at the moment though so that idea will have to wait a while.

I was at the ASPCA thrift store and was looking around the toy and children's book section. There were some bagged toys near the bookshelf I was reaching for to inspect when the title of the book was peeking out from the other book and I saw it!

But man, those McDonald's ponies -- did they use a cheaper kind of fiber for those? I'm having an impossible time trying to get the frizz and tangles out. Any suggestions?
