Is a glaze the same as a sealer?

I'm asking because I have a bottle of Palmer Prism's Pearly Glaze, and I'm wondering if I should be going over it with a dealer or if its good by itself.

Not necessarily.  A glaze can also be a light coating paint to give effects.  I would recommend a sealant still

Agreed, I would use a sealer over a glaze. Obviously when using a glaze on a canvas a sealer may or may not even be needed. But if you're using the glaze on a pony I would seal it just to be safe with wear.

Quick tip: I've had some sealers and glazes react poorly to one another.  Always let the layer underneath dry THOROUGHLY.  Test the combination first.  I wouldn't want you to get the cloudy blue thing that happened on one of my jewelry boxes going on with one of your customs!

I use the glaze on top, and don't use a sealer, but the stuff I use is also rated for use as a sealer/topcoat, so obviously there's not going to be a problem there.

Thanks for the warning Naamah! That would be annoying to deal with on a pony, much less a jewelry box. I shall be sure to test the reaction first.
