I have usually had pretty good luck finding dolls with good paint jobs. There was an exceptionally badly wonky eyed Rochelle at toys r us a couple of weeks ago, the poor thing was the last Rochelle on the shelf. I hope someone who makes customs takes her in. Then this last week I saw a bunch of Schools out Lagoonas with some sort of eye issues, nothing major but annoying enough to catch. Other then that though nothing too bad. All of the ones I have bought have been good.

Okay, so I know I've read somewhere that you can boil box crinks out of hands or other plastic bits, but I never believed in how well it worked! I got a pot of water boiling for my new Dead Tired Ghoulia's terrible box/ponytail hair, and though "What the heck?" and poured some on her gimpy hand. I turned to put the pot back on the stove while contemplating how I was going to rearrange her hand while it was hot, and then I looked down. It had already POPPED back into place! Might have to try this with Robecca's less than perfect hand!

That's what happened to one of my Liv dolls, their hand had marks from the elastic bands being on their hands so tight, put it in hot water and it looked like new!

Has anyone else found that a simple hairstyle or outfit modification can change the way you look at a doll entirely?

I got RM Operetta today, and with her hair up she looked WAYYY older than a high school student. I took it down, and swung it to the side,and used a clear band around her forehead and BAM! She looks gorgeous. I need to take some photos of it!

EDIT: I downloaded this thing called Ponify, and it changes words into pony "language" you could say. Whenever you guys say 'hand' I see it as 'hoof'.. X3

I took a break from the Arena from a couple months due to school and other things in my life. But I'm back now!

Mmhmm! Outfits and hair are actually the biggest pulls to me for dolls! That is a large part of the reason I nearly passed on SS Lagoona and Abbey.

Sadly the Target I went to had no sign of MH in the dollar section. I did find temporary tattoos in the seasonal section.  Yeah...useful. :rolleyes:

I hope you're able to find them soon, I missed out on the MLP Dollar stuff, and I hated that feeling. >,<;

I have yet to read the first MH books by Lisi Harrison, but I let out a squee just now when I saw this on Amazon for preorder!

The Monster High: The Freaky Fabulous Collector's Set

Now I'm debating if I should get each book, hardcover, one by one, or get this set. If they're the exact same ones but with a fancy box, then the answer is unanimous.  :P

I would assume they're the same books, so I'm going to tell you to get the set. Sets rule.

I thought that in the new Swim line that will come out with Scaris and Dance Class, do you think that the dolls that haven't got a swim version will be in that one? Like Venus, Robecca, Spectra, Operetta and Rochelle? I hope at least some of these will get that because I'm not going WOHOO over another swimsuit Frankie/Clawdeen/Cleo/Lala/Ghoulia/Abbey

I was thinking that too. I'm tired of them using the same characters OVER and OVER.  :huh:
