With the fishing weights I would coat them in apoxie first. Just cause they are a kind of metal that's subject to rust.

The only thing I would be worried about is what some things might look like to customs agents if it's going to leave the country. Like the sand, for instance.

Like IP, I always end up with useless bits of dried Apoxie so I sometimes cram those inside a pony, but that doesn't work if you need to balance out really heavy parts...

It is staying in the states but I will definetly keep the rust issue in consideration :)
