What type of pony do you prefer? (Research for pony art)

Hello all!

I'm working on a new MLP art project at the moment, but am stuck at a point where I can't decide which generation should be the basis for my design. G1s are my personal favourites, but which design of pony do you like the most? The more responses the merrier - it'll help me out a lot.

Hmm, its a toughie. Since all of the gen's of ponies are a unique style, when I do my art for ponies I tend to do a style between G1 & G2. Buuuut, if I had to choose one alone then for me, it'd be good olde G1

I'm gonna say G1. As much as I love G4, their faces just don't look appropriately "pony." Plus, if that's the most fun for you, you'll like the project that much more.

I like the G1 style. They look the most ponyish. And I can actually draw mares in that style.

I will say, if you're posting somewhere like DA, G4 will get a lot more attention/exposure.  But you should draw in whatever style makes you happiest, regardless of generation!   And whatever you do, make it your own.
