Here are my guesses:
1. They bought them from taobao
2. As many as they could (my guess is less than 200)
3. No, the first post says "All ponies will come in a sealed bag with a special card saying what number she is making your pony that little bit more special ^_^" (so bag, not box).
4. I'd guess they got as many as they could in the first place, so unless they want to start buying out other sources (like the Chinese eBayers that have her available, etc.), I don't think they will have any more available.

Hmm, I'm on the fence right now whether I want her or not. I have all the official releases, but she's pretty much just a Trixie with different decals. It's nice that the UK PonyCon got her for their exclusive though!

- but if it is unlikely there will be enough- would the UK Ponycon organizers have any issue with my ordering one off of Taobao?

I'm kinda confused on this: I think she was just a TaoBao Frankenpony, and they bought up a bunch to name and put to use.

I don't think the PonyCon ppl got the factory to make them for this purpose, which still leaves the question of why so many of this Frankenpony were manufactured in the first place.

Unless the PonyCon ppl actually did get the factory to run these without an official order via Hasbro?

Edit: Speculation: maybe someone at the factory just messed up and put the wrong blank-flank ponies in the Fluttershy cutiemark stamper? I think applying the cutie mark is nearly the last step (hence so many blank flank TaoBao ponies), which would explain the completeness of the pony.

Lovely!  I'm so glad the UK Fair now has it's own pony--although I'm very, very disappointed by Hasbro's behavior. 

She looks so sweet.  As far as having a "reused" symbol, that is not new either.  Bay Breeze has the same symbol as one of the other 3-D symboled ponies (the blue one with yellow hair).  I mean, who cares?  New color scheme + prevous symbol = new pony, as far as I'm concerned.

Well, it's only because Hasbro wouldn't make a pony for the UKcon that she is so limited.  I can't imagine there were that many of her out there if they had to find and buy a Taobao error pony. 

I think she is really special and the Con was so nice to go out and get a pony for the convention when Hasbro didn't come through.
