In need of some G3 expertise...
« on: September 02, 2012, 01:52:20 PM »
Hello! I am new to the forum, so please pardon me if I am posting this in the wrong place.

I’m looking at purchasing a lot of 22 G3 ponies. I normally collect G4 ponies and am not at all familiar with G3. I am hoping someone may be able to provide me some insight about the ponies and tell me what they think a fair price for the lot should be.

I would appreciate any insight or advice the community can provide.

None of those are bait - a day in the Pony Spa should fix them right up!  :D

I would say around $25.  There are some Super Long Hairs in that lot as well as some common favorites.  G3s are still mostly running $3-5 apiece so for 19 brushables and a McD's toy, you'd be paying $1.31 a pony...  I wouldn't offer more than $30 for sure.  :D

Hope that helps!

Thank you very much for your response! The seller did say that one of the pegasi ponies was worth 15 dollars. Is that true?

$15.00 for one of the pegasi?  That's expensive.

The white with blue wnghs (first pegasi) for some time was expensive, but her price has dropped (even saw her at $3.00 or less selling fine), the sencond one (the purple) not so sure on her.

But as other's said, I would not pay more than $30.00 for all of them.

I agree, $30 is the maximum I would pay for that lot. There are some nice G3s there, but their prices have gone down so much, so $25-30 is a good price for them :)

I think $25 for the lot would be fair :)

To ID them, I like www.strawberryreef.com :)

Thanks for all of the wonderful responses! I was only really considering the lot so I would have ponies to trade or sell on the Arena but he's not budging on 35 dollars and since I don't want them for myself I think I'm going to pass.

Yeah, I would agree with the others. No pegasi on here is worth $15, it is a pretty lot, but mostly commons.

Oh thats a shame!

If I was buying I wouldnt go higher than $25. Individually if you were reselling them via ebay you may well make back  $35 but that would probably take some time and its only a maybe!
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi
