Am I a Monchichi?

It has a note that say "Tono Japan".
I think it resembles a Monchichi, but it have to be something else :/ Anyone have any ideas?

...and the most important question - is there more like this one?

No. All of my real Monchichi both vintage and new say Tekiguchi is their maker since 1918. I have many knock-offs from different brands. I have Takaras and Fun World and Cuddle Wit. Tono is a city in Japan so perhaps its just a novelty toy from there. Unfortunately that makes it harder to track down info on than a brand name product.

Not a Monchhichi - as Crumpet said, Monchhichi is made by Sekiguchi.

Tono has a toy museum, but that's the only toy-related information I can find about it.

I use to have a vintage Monchichi! But, that is even cuter than Monchichi, imo.
