Which G1 pony does this accessory belong to?

I recently bought a pony off ebay and it came with this accessory (it didn't belong to that pony). I have been trying to find out what pony it came with but I'm totally stumped and it's slowly driving me insane. It stares at me everyday. So I was hoping someone out there might know and then I can buy the pony.

Not sure if my pic will upload so if not... it's a purple ring which a purple gem in the middle.

I thought G2 Sunsparkle who came with the throne playset, except hers is red.

I'm sure that it is G2 though!

It's similar to one that comes with pony bride but hers is white. It fits my G1 ponies G2 are smaller wouldn't it be too big? not got a G2 to test that theory though.

All the G1 rings were gold or silver based, I don't know of any purple ones and I checked a couple of accessory guides too. I don't have a G1 or G2 ring or I'd try them on different ponies for you!

Maybe it is for a G2 pony then. Or could it be an accessory that was sold separately? or unofficial?

I think Lady Sky Skimmer (g2) came with a purple ring but I dont' know if this is it sorry!

G1 and G2 pony rings are the same size. Though G1s are taller, their main leg diameter is roughly the same. There are so many G2s that I'd bet this is one of theirs.

G2 Sunsparkle came with a variation in her accessories.  You can find all of her red accessories in purple too. So her ring, pendant etc

Yes its Queen Sun Sparkle. It does sit quite loose on her - the same mould as the G1 rings of course but those which gripped on properly, instead this sits a little loose around her ankle. Pretty much most G2s which came with a selection of small accessories are subject to releases with the accessories in different colours...so for Queen Sun Sparkle she had one of the below

Option 1: Purple ring, purple comb, purple crown, red goblets, red pendant

Option 2: Red ring, red comb, red crown, purple goblets, purple pendant
