Where to go to ID ponies for sale?

I found an ad for some ponies for sale and I know almost nothing outside of G4.  Is there somewhere on this site (or somewhere else) that I can post the picture from the ad and can get help in IDs and if I should buy them or not?

Thank you.  I was pretty sure that most of them were G1, but I think now that the ones I thought were G1 are actually reproductions made in 2008 because all of the ones I have been able to ID, were offered as reproductions.  So I guess I'll skip this purchase.

Oh yes, the re-issues of the g1 ponies are easy to spot - they're  brighter and a little buggy-eyed.    Glad you were able to figure out what you were looking at!

Yes.  These look brighter and the manes/tails are very vibrant colored.  One pony is pink and the mane and tail are very neon pink.  The picture is at a bad angle, but I think they are just the reproductions.

I have checked the thrift stores and no luck.  The consignment sales are going to be starting up in a few weeks and I plan to hit those.  I may also have to check some local "antique" stores.

aw, I like the repros. I finally opened my collector reproductions last night and the Snuzzle version is stunning.

Oh, good to know.  I'll post the picture later if I can get to it just to see if I was right that I think they are the reproductions.  And nothing against those, I just want to get a few G1s since I was not allowed to have them when I was little (my Mom said I was too old).  Right now I live through my DD and her collection.
