Another Doll to I.D. - Mattel 2009 Purple Acid Trip Girl

Okay, what is this?  She is marked Mattel 2009, but I am having a difficult time with my searches for her using the obvious search strings?

This is why Mattel needs to make sure their designers aren't dropping acid while coming up with new ideas (and make sure those in charge of approving such ideas aren't dropping acid either when the designers present their concepts.)

She is called a Flairy. She came out with the Barbie movie Barbie a Fashion fairy tale.

ETA- Her name is Shimr.

Defiantly from Barbie a Fashion Fairy Tale. If you watch the movie her glittery body makes a lot more sense. She is a creature associated with a magical wardrobe that makes every design "beautiful".

Thanks.  It wasn't the glitter I found trippy.  It was her totally bizarre proportions, normal head and body on super deformed went through the taffy puller legs that puts Sailor Moon to shame.  :)

I remember seeing a 3 pack of those at TRU.  I really wanted them.  They were marked down too.  I couldn't force myself to buy them though.  Their coloring bothered me.  There was a purple, pink, and a lighter pink.  Why TWO pinks?  If it had been green, or blue, I'd own them now.  I have a thing for color:)  I couldn't understand why they wouldn't switch it up a bit   But I loved their weirdo figure.  Guess that's why I'm into MH.  Color and crazy design:)

Flairys!   I have two... but I haven't found a good place for them in my doll world yet.

The Flairy dolls really remind me of MH - could Mattel have possibly used the design and tweaked it up for MH?  Because the proportions are alike, really.  I was thinking of using the two girls I have as "faery" additions to the two MH girls I have.  If there are vampires and sea monsters and werecats, why can't there be "faeries" as well?
