Troll Doll Shining Armor Solutions? UPDATE with pics on 1st page!

Well, I've got regular size Shining Armor, and his hair is hopeless. I might cut his hair shorter. Other than that, I'm not sure how I could rehair him... Has anyone found a good style or solution for him, other than sculpting?

I just ran hot water from the tap over him, put some texturizing cream in to lay his hair flat, and let it dry. The next morning, I pulled it up and cut it with scissors! I've gone from hating to loving him!

I would love to know what the hair is made out of. If it's just fine nylon that's been frizzed to be trolly it might theoretically be styleable like normal pony hair.

You can also use hair wax. That stuff is GREAT! The feeling will be a bit... waxy?
It's all washable though.

I have a baby brother pony that had a haircut. I gave him emo bangs with some elmers glue. That kind of glue also washes out with warm water so no worries on damaging the pony.

I am sticking with the "troll hair" yuck theme...I am not even a fan of the mohawk on the FS Shining Armour.

Dear Hasbro, boy ponies can and should have long luxurious locks thank you - real boy ponies dont have their hair in tufts or crop cuts! I want my little ponies with brushable hair! Tex and Slugger and Steamer all carried off Fabio style hair, why cant G4s? *rant over*

I am going to re-hair him with real pony hair and style it.  I just have to make a ton of hair holes on his had first.  Yes, I am crazy enough to try this!  I also saw in a different thread that some one sculpted his hair and tail on him.  It looked nice!

I've added real hair to a newborn cutie and it wasn't hard to make holes so when I get a duplicate I'll be rehairing so he looks more normal and not like a pony whos been playing with electricity.  I hate touching it in case it falls out, it seems so fragile.

The only thing that stops me rehairing him is the face he's got a massive gouge out of his head for that damned troll hair.
I'm not sure how well the nylon rows would sit in it.

I don't know what to do about Shining Armor's troll hair . . . He has that big slot in his neck.  But maybe if you stuff ENOUGH nylon hair in there . . . ?
