Question regarding a fakie of mine
« on: August 20, 2012, 02:34:50 PM »
Today i decided to open my favourite fakie for the first time. You know, get to know your pony.
Even though her inside was all clean, i noticed something weird.
A little note, stickied to the fakie, saying '2900TS'
What? Random note? 2900TS?
The questions are many, but the main one is yet to be answered: Why? Are others having fakies with weird notes? What does it mean?

Please answer quickly, or A. I won't sleep tonight or B. I'll have nightmares about scary notes. (I'm serious about that!)

I'm sorry if this isn't a forum for fakies :[

I don't know with any certainly at all, but that sounds like it might just be some kind of production number. Someone with more knowledge about this could probably tell you more.

Very odd! Do you have pictures?

I am going to largely agree with Elisto prior to seeing the images as it sounds like a simple overlook during packaging of a batch number or similar.

I've actually opened up several fakies and found little paper notes with numbers. I don't remember exactly which ones though because my memory is awful (chances are they were Lanards) and I found them during spa time so I had dozens of fakies laid out with heads popped. I think I found a total of 3 notes, sopping wet by that point lol! It's a weird place to put them but thankfully not the weirdest thing you could find in a pony. :P

Now I'm tempted to pop open my fakies. They're just sitting there in a bag. Hm!

Edit: Nope! No notes out of 4 dozen... I barely have any Lanards though. Mine are mostly Tara Toys or Remco fakies.

Hmm- I used to know the answer to this question.

It has something to do with the quality production check- the number on the paper is the person who was doing the checks I think.

I get those little tags often in random toys!  And clothing.  I believe it's a QC thing.  :)

Too late for my input. I was going to say if its a JaRu brand fakie they often have the number stamped right on the outside of the pony on the nds or leg and they end up packaged and sold as is.

That's so bizarre... I almost always open up my ponies, fakie AND Hasbro, and I haven't seen one of those yet! Is it like a sticker or just a random piece of paper? I can't quite tell.

I'm in the quality control crowd. I think you're safe. No haunted pony notes, I promise. :good:
