Japanese Takara Ponies?

Ok, so they're not fakies? I'm totally intrigued by these ponies being so different from ponies in the rest of the world. Where can I learn more about them?

There are both fake ones and real ones The real ones are extremely hard to come by and very expensive! I'm trying to remember if there was a Nirvana spotlight on them, but I don't think there was

Not that I know of.

Heres the knowledge list I have documented: The Takara My Little Pony line was prodcuced for only one year in 1985 in Japan. Apparently the line did not do so well and production of these toys haulted. That may be one reason why there are so few Takaras left today. Perhaps another reason maybe that in Japan toys are most commonly disposed of. The adults have moveable heads arms and legs. Their tails are rooted.

1.  Pinky and Milky as they were originally produced:  The original set.

2. The Takara Babies (genuine and marked with the Takara stamp on their bum). These babies were meant to match their mums (pinky
    and milky). i know an arena member here has the set MIB and they are gorgeous. (apparently two different sets were made with
    different accessories and the babies in the different sets have some differences as well)

3. Pinky and Milky Hair Designer Set - Both takaras in this set have super long hair and Milky has dark pink hair instead of light pink

4. Ochame Collection:  4 takaras with alternate hair colors and styles. FuwaFuwa(curly hair takara,) AmiAmi(blue braided hair takara,)
    SaraSara(yellow straight hair takara), KuruKuru(green hair takara,)

5. Takara pony wear: this is a whole line of beautiful takara pony outfits. Different outfits were packaged and marketed for the   
    different sets released.

To add to Ember1's list, there is also at least 1 Takara house with Milky.

I also still think that there are three sets of the baby Takaras. One, the bathset (drainage hole). Two, the crib set. And I really think because of advertising that they were sold separately as well. Other than the drainage hole, what are the other differences? (You would think I'd know durr).

It's also good to point out. There are no known adult fakies. The babies are also known as "kawaii ponies".

I can be corrected-- but only 5 real babies have floated around collectors hands on this forum. (2 in which are now MIA).
