Love-in-a-Mist cutie color question!

I'm using Kimsite's Dream Valley site to ID ponies so i can finally put up my poydex, and I have a cutie issue.

Dream Valley says UK Love-in-a-Mist's cutie is supposed to be a large red heart with a purple arrow rhrough in surrounded by smaller red hearts. My pony has an aqua arrow, though. Is this common? Or does this mean I have a different county here? She's branded as made is China.

Please help a confused girl out!

It will be a pigment issue. Purple symbols and eyes are notorious for becoming blue-ish in colour as the red pigment in the paint used seems to be much more likely to leach into the surrounding plastic. Like we see with Baby Crumpets symbols or Cotton Candy's eyes. Thats what it sounds like to me

*shakes head* This doesn't look faded to me. I've never heard of purple fading to an aqua blue, either. Both cuties have the exact same color too, and usually with fading its one over the other, isn't it? :/

No...its the pigment in the paint so it can happen to both symbols at the same - a quick search will bring you lots of examples of purple paints becoming blues - its not "fading" its the loss of colour in the paint.

However, having looked up Love in a Mist...it looks as though her symbol is in fact blue - I guess the information on Dream Valley is actually incorrect
