That figure looks like someone shrunk Tom Hiddleston down and put him in your hand. It's absolutely amazing!

Yeah, no wonder it's for sale at, ahem cough cough, Hot Toys. Lol :'D But that's a pretty amazing thing there! I don't even want to count how much I've spent on dolls (or on spoiling my dogs ) lately... Monster Highs and Dals all over the globe. Yikes.

He's GORGEOUS!  Those Hot Toys figures are amazing...I have yet to get one for myself, but I have a friend who has the Hot Toys Joker and he's amazing.  I definitely want to get my hands on the new Jim Gordon they released for the last Batman movie...*drooools*

That figure is awesome as hell! I know the feeling of 'buyer's remorse', but it's not money wasted if it's something you love. Plus if you take care of it it should retain its value, so you can always sell it on later if you decide to part with it (though why would you want to? ).

I once spent 450$ on a porcelain doll. Her original price was only 150$, but it had been a few years since she'd been in production and she was a Wendy Froud doll so the price didn't suprise me. But, I only work part time and this was more than a whole paycheck for me. I don't regret it, though. She's the pride of my collection!

The way I see it, you can always make more money. But a toy/doll/object you love is unique, and can bring you happiness for years to come. :3

If it makes you feel better, I collect in-game pets for my World of Warcraft character, some of which cost obscene amounts of real world money for a tiny virtual creature. I've dropped $260 on a single one, and have several more that are worth that much. And I can't even hold them in my hands!

(This hobby has almost ground to a halt since I discovered MH, and though each individual doll is far more affordable, the quantity of different ones available is WAY higher, so honestly I probably spend even more now being the completionist I am. )

Okay I just took the time to scroll through some of those pictures and WHOA! That is seriously amazing. I think $200 is a good deal, as long as you love it. Kinda sad face that the Thor has a terrible facial expression. But look at all those things your figure comes with! [and don't go look at Iron Man, he's got even more great add-ons.]

I just went and looked at the figure in more detail myself... he's completely poseable, comes with a bajillion extra hands, props, AND A ridiculously well made outfit, AND he's a good 32cm tall... forget $200 feeling like a waste, that's a deal! O_O

A few years ago at a con I spent over 200 on a giant, beautiful, hunk of resin in the shape of Seras Victoria, from the manga series Hellsing.

And then there's my BJDs.
Florian came to be for 145, plus the shipping... Jezabel was around 500... Cassian was around 370 something after he was marked down during an event period, but i'm paying layaway on him...
And my new boy, Harper, was an impulse buy, for 155 total, used.
155 I could not pass up, when the doll would have cost me over 200. :3


So... That's a lot of money that I ain't gonna sit and add up right now.
And I just spent 150 on more doll clothes today...

So... your Loki was a small price to be paid for greatness.
Where is he gonna live once you get him? I'm not sure anywhere in my house would be good enough for a god. :o

I think $200 is perfectly reasonable for a figurine with that amount of detail  Having said that, whatever the price if you want it, and can afford it, you should buy it! It'll make you happy for years to come after all.

The most I spent on a collectible was £100 for a Taeyang Sebastian... that was a few years ago now and I'm ashamed to say I haven't even looked at him properly yet, and he's currently in storage. I do like him, I just have a lack of space to display my dolls currently.

I just spent USD440 in a doll naked, bold, blind, and in blank! So... well...
