How do put a new tail in a G4? I'm going crazy!

I am going completely insane trying to put a new tail in this G4!  my daughter is going to hear every four letter word in the book if I can't figure this out soon!

Assuming you already got the plug out and the tail prepared, take a length of wire, fold it over, stick the loop in the pony from the outside in, load the tail through the loop, and pull through the butt like a topsy tail. Hope that helped!

Like Octocorn said, but don't make it too thick otherwise it's not going to go in. I can't tell you how many times I got super mad because I made the tail too thick to fit through the hole.

And on the off chance you don't have the neck plug out, you need to gently cut around that with an xacto knife to remove it. Careful not to slice yourself or the pony.

OMG! The neck plug! I finally cut that thing out and it was still stuck in just one little spot and I pulled and pulled it and ended up breaking the the plug in half! 

Thanks for the help! The tail wasn't any thicker than the original, but it wouldn"t fit through doubled up like when you pull it through with string or wire, I ended up threading two loops of string through at the same time then placing half the tail in each one and pulling half through at a time... G4s are so frustrating, this may be my first and last G4 custom!

another tip i find this works well particularly if the tail is just that fraction too think to fit thru .

warm the body up a little,  be carefull tho you dont want to heat it soo much to damage your paint work.
just enough to make the plastic softer and more flexible.

i uses a hair dryer for this on the lowest setting and hold it a good distance from the pony.

this little trick hase saved my many a time

Also I find silk ribbon to be stronger than thread or wire and less painful on your hands when pulling a difficult tail through.

Well, the second G4 I dismantled went alot smoother and the tail went in a little easier. With G1s and G3s I use a latch-hook to pull my tails through and it doesn't leave the crease in the tail like  string or wire, but it just doesn't work with those tiny little G4 tail holes. I managed to get both ponies totally re-haired and re-tailed, now I just need to pick up the right color glitter for symbols!
