Flutterin' Fun :)

G2 was nice, G3 was great, G4... well, I like the show, but the toys are boring to me (no offense to anyone else who loves G4). So I'm back to collecting G1, the generation I grew up with and remains interesting because of its diversity....

I'm going to collect them set by set, to keep a good view of the collection. The first ones I've bought are easily my favorites since childhood: the first six Flutter Ponies. Mint ponies Forget-Me-Not, Honeysuckle (will get a new tail) and Peach Blossom got here!  Rosedust, Lily and Morning Glory are still on the way, as are the amazing replica wings from Nora.

I've got another Peach Blossom; mint body, dehaired. What to do...? Paint and make an all new Flutter, or just rehair with a different color and paint on a new flower symbol? What to do with her? 
I've always wanted a white flutter pony, but her body is too beautiful to cover it with paint. Still, even if I rehair her and create a new character, she's still identical to Peach Blossom, body color-wise, and won't stand out as much.

And I agree with Sarah-Bee, I'd just give her a rehair, her body is way too gorgeous to do anything drastic to and then your Peach Blossom will have a twin ^^

I'm a picky, picky collector. Only Mint is good enough... And these are amazingly mint ponies. Thanks to the wonderful eBay sellers (who, no doubtably, are picky pony collectors themselves and take the time to give a detailed description of the toy offered so you know what you're getting into. love 'em)

Bald Flutter Peachy will probably be rehaired with Diaquari Ice or Water Nixie. Both will surely make for a total image that differentiates enough from Peach Blossom. The light Diaquari Ice should make her body appear 'darker' and Water Nixie should make it look more 'blue'.

Any other suggestions?

Yay!  The flutter ponies are so pretty, what a great set to get back into collecting G1 with.

Why not rehair bald Peach Blossom with both colours?  She could be Peach Blossom's twin with highlights, or something?  (She'd also be distinct enough as the only flutter with two-toned hair.)  I couldn't decide between the two colours so I defaulted to my usual "choose both!"

I think the flutter ponies are one of the most under-rated series.  I never seem to hear much about them!  I'd look into rehairing PB, too...there's an awesome thread on here showing how great some of the rehairs can be

i would suggest making a mixed blend of daquari ice and a few other blue shades. =] might be interesting having multitone blues on her.
