German Starshine Symbol Variant?
« on: August 02, 2012, 12:41:07 PM »
Yesterday I got a 2nd German Starshine and compared her to the one I already have. Mine has a yellow/goldish symbol while the new one has a dark golden one! Is one of them a Variant?!

At first: Wow, they look super white!

I have 3 German Starshines and one of them has yellow stars too. Maybe cause of fading?

the one with the golden symbol has a little age spot on the NDS neck but yes, they are really white for german starshines (although not as bright as "normal" white ponies) :)

fading is a possibility. i like the yellow version more than the golden ^^

I believe that is an actual variant :) From what I know, the German rainbows each have 2 versions. Raindrop and Nightlight have big/small symbols, Skydancer has forward and backward facing symbols, and Starshine has 'metallic'/golden and 'painted'/yellow symbols.

I love the yellow star, looks so nice on her! Very cool find Zora!  Its almost like the regular G1 Starshine that has a painted symbol underneath the glitter, looks like someone forgot to put the glitter on... Keep her : )

I've always been under the assumption that it was the equivalent of the large and small symbolled versions of Nightlight and Raindrop, since the others have two versions as well.... at least I think Himmelstanzer has two! She's the only one that doesn't come to mind.
