Cabbage Patch Kids--an entire buttload of 'em!

I wanted to show off my Cabbage Patch Kid collection...these are just quick photos, arranged by company. 

First, the originals: the Coleco-made 'Kids.  Coleco made the CPK at the height of their popularity.  The freckled kid in red in the front is actually from the Jesmar factory--which I believe was one of the Spanish ones.  They had factories in other countries made the 'Kids when demand got too much for their usual ones.  MOst others are the most common ones: OK.  I think there might be a P factory in there...those 'Kids are most prone to Pox.  (Like Pony cancer. D: )  And two Koosas.  A dog type and a cat typwe.  I have a Lion type somewhere but I can't find him!

Next are a couple of Colecos I missed (on top) and three "transitional" kids.  Hasbro was the next company to make CPK, nd the one in the middle was actually a Coleco mold, though it doesno't say so on the headmold itself.  (I THINK it's a Hasbro mold.  Only the "burping" type of 'Kids had these molds...)  The one in the footbal uniform has one of the main Coleco molds, but is Hasbro-made--the transitional kids used up the remaining headmold stock from Coleo before creating their own.  This kid has wire inside and is poseable.   The one on the left was also in the poseable line, but with a Hasbro mold.

Next we have the Hasbro kiddos.  The girl with all that hir--her hair is wiry, so it keeps its shape well.  I THINK she was one of the "Crimp 'N' Curl" ones.  The platinum blond boy is on of the Preschool Kids.

The next company to sell them was Mattel--here are my Mattel kiddies...the white-blond girl was an olympic-tribute kid.  The one on the far left, with black hair, is one of the "eating" babies.  (I have been told, and have researched...and apparently she IS one of the recalled Snacktime Kids!  LOL  See and I thought she was when I first saw her, but when I saw Mattel, I assumed I was wrong.  I would have sworn she was Coleco...  Oh well.  lol Thanks, kayveryn!)  The one next to her with the ribbons talks and moves her arms.

Next is my one and only Toys R Us exclusive--that's not the hardhat he came with, though I have it.  This one just looks better.  He also has a hammer somewhere.  The TRU kids have HUGE FREKING HEADS!  They are also the tallest of the 'kids.

Next....my Play Along 'Kids.  Play Along is the company that makes them now.

And last, but not least...my three childhood ones.  I had more, but these are the ones I managed to hold on to.  From left to right...Nelson Edgar, Landon...something, and Michaela...Dorcas?  Don't called her either of those names.  She's the tomboy...call her Mick...just lke Mick Dundee.    I made her surfer outfit.  C:  I had CPK iron-ons from a CPK clothing pattern I got online.

I don't collect them, so don't know a whole lot about them (other than a bit I remember when they were in stores, lol), but that is a pretty awesome collection you got there.

Whoa! You sure have quite a collection! I don't have any personally but know someone who has all her daughters collection. They aren't on display or anything but she keeps them in a trashbag in storage. She has about just as many lol.

Dolly spa or Pony Spa is a VERY fun pass time. I cleaned up some Ponies today after work. So relaxing and fun to see them look all clean and pretty after. Post a pic or two afterward

Oh gosh, thanks for making me want my CPKs! I had a few as a kid, but I don't know if I still have them. It'll be a long time before I can check. D:

I know I had a redhead with long hair and pigtails in like an Olympic leotard or something (like a gymnast), and another one.

WP--yes she is on my CPK wish list!    There was one or two molds for the Snackin' Kids.

Taxel, totally check!  Ah, yes, you had an OlympiKid too!  She's a Mattel kid.  Mine has the same.

Wow, great collection!  I just have my three from childhood.  A preemie named Blanche Elizabeth, and little brown-haired boy named Harry something, and a tinyier baby that rattles.  No idea what her name is, but she's cute!
