Pics of the Wedding Castle?

I've been flip flopping between getting the castle or not since the first pics of them trickled out, and it's been exceedingly difficult to find out of box photos of it. I think it would be a nice display piece and a great way to customize it to look nicer, but I'm not fully convinced of actually getting it when it comes out here.

Thanks, I have to move the curtain rod up a little higher as the castle ended up being taller than I anticipated my long range plan is to cover it in bright colored ribbons thankfully I didn't get to that quite yet before realizing I would have to move it


Yes, I was born and raised in CT. Born in New London, raised in Colchester, went off to college in West Hartford and now live in Norwich it's amazing how much of my life has been lived within a 50 mile radius

Oak, on the "Prototype Boards" thread, you can see really nice pictures of the steps taken to prototype this set.

I remember seeing some nice review pictures of the castle, I think it was on here. I'm sure if you go a page or two back in the corral, you'll be able to find them.

I've been tempted to buy the set just for Shining Armor, but then I'd want to trade away or sell the castle itself, but what's stopping me is thinking about how bad the shipping cost will be. Does anyone have a pic of how the castle looks when it comes out of the box? Does it break apart into smaller parts, or is it like the carousel that is going to need a huge box to ship no matter what?

It comes disassembled in the box.

I got mine yesterday. I'll try to get some pics sometime soon!
And yep it's not assembled and you have to put the decals on too.  That was somewhat nerve wracking. Especially those things on the front with the roses. I was so afraid of messing them up!
It's actually really neat once it's together though.

Hey, I can see the stained-glass window designs from the Canterlot Castle in the cartoon!  Is that only on the outside of the arches, or is there more up inside the dome there?

There aren't any stickers for inside the dome or anything. In back view pic I posted there you can kinda see inside is blank.
