Need Help Finding spiked belts??????

My husband is into costuming and his latest project is Animal from the Muppets.  He wants to have a spiked collar, wrist pieces and ankle pieces..and he needs the chain. Well, we have the chain figured out. I was thinking the cheapest way to get all 5 spiked pieces would be to get like a size 40 Spiked black belt and spray paint it silver.  I am not into spiked anything, and I can't find anything.  We need like tree spikes...something that will really show up. Not some short little spike...but something an inch maybe or 2cm for the spike length.  Can anyone tell me where I can puchase something like this at a reasonable price? I don't have to have leather as my plan is to cut each piece to size from the belt and make the wrist, neck and ankle pieces out of one belt.  We can get it the color we need.  He makes costumes all of the time.  He is a member of the 501 Legion of Storm Troopers so,  he can make things look very authentic out of the strangest stuff.  Here he is sporting a Star Wars costume he made.

You can order the spikes yourself online and put them through an old leather belt if you so desire.  It's very easy.
