G2 McD's Sundance/Sun Sparkle?

Is there a way to identify the difference between the US G2 McD's Sundance and the UK Sun Sparkle?

Well it seems that's the same pony but the ones released in 1997 and 98 were named Sundance and the later ones were Sun Sparkles ;) The collectors call them each ways :)

No I am pretty sure they are the same pony - its just that they were released later in the UK than in the US :)
