AH! That's MY Renaissance Faire!  Thanks to this incredible heat, we haven't gone yet, but we always go for the last day of the season. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for Mr. Ditzy-Satyr there!

Where did you get your garb? Did you make it or buy it? All of my garb is from Ophelia's at Bristol (first garb place when you walk in the gates) and I LOVE it. :)

I also want to know where she got her dress.  That is a very very lovely design.  Looks like a pattern I have been wanting to use.

So random, but I think Renaissance Fairs have become the place for "dress up time".  You now see Star Wars people, random fantasy characters, anime cos-players, punk-Goths who are not punk-goth in real life but just dress that way for the Fair, and even other eras along with your normal Renaissance/medieval period fair goers.  It is such an odd assortment.

I am not surprised pony cos players are showing up at the Fairs.

Lots of us Bristol Ponies around!  We should have a meet-up at the Ren Faire on Labor Day!

Hi everyone! Thanks again for the kind remarks on my dress and how I look. I feel so darn flattered!!!     :blush:For those of you interested in the origins of my dress- I had it custom made by Grey Cat Designs about 6-7 years ago. I spent one summer mowing my elderly neighbors lawn and at the end of the summer she gave me $200 for helping her out. I really thought she didn't need to give me that much but she insisted. Turns out I FELL IN LOVE with this dress while perusing costumes and several websites and it cost exactly $200. (The chemise I bought separate off of ebay) The color/trim/lacing/beading/eyelets were all picked out by me and Grey Cat put it together after sending in my size measurements. Unfortunately, whoever (or is it whomever? lol) ran the company decided not to do her costumes anymore-I don't remember why- and passed on her designs to a different website. I am trying to find the other website to post here but it's been a LONG time since I was even there. If I manage to find it, I WILL post it here for all of you who are interested.  ;)

RVR- I'm thinking of going again this saturday. It's only supposed to be 82! If I do go again, I'll be solo and I'll check out Ophelia's =)
