Barbie Pet lovin' Twins

Hey guys! As much as I've searched I just can't seem to find any more info on these pups. I had them in my childhood and collect them when I find them, but I just want to know if I have the complete set yet or if there are more I don't know about. There doesn't seem to be any kind of comprehensive list of Barbie pets, which is kind of frustrating. I know there were flocked and non flocked versions, and some of the molds were used for single pets later on. Any info you can give me would be appreciated

I remember these! I use to love looking at them when I went to Toys R Us when I was a kid! At the time though I was much more into Fisher Price dollies and playing with my dollhouse. They were just a wee too big for my dollies! But they were ADORABLE!

Wish I could contribute more information about them but unfortunately I don't have any nor know anything about them. Have you tried searching at a barbie website? I'm sure there's got to be a catalog of how many there are somewhere! Good luck on your search! I love the poodles!

I'll take a picture of the ones I have when I go home They've always been some of my favorite toys, even after my dog got ahold of a few and gnawed on their poor heads  I even have some fakies of them! So far I have poodles, afghans, Dalmatians, irish setters, golden retrievers, sheepdogs and labs.

I tried the Barbie "wiki", but they literally just have a page that says "Barbie has had a lot of pets!" and links to a couple of them. Not very helpful. I find myself so grateful that we have such a dedicated and organized community here, because I can't imagine what a nightmare it would be to collect with no comprehensive guide.

I remember the dalmatian ones! I always had a thing for dalmatians and think I even asked for them for Christmas one year. I got this little dalmatian vet kit that is like a little plush with a carrier that has hearts on it or something instead? lol wayyy off topic but still..

I have no info for you but I also have the white poodle.  She's really cute.  It's nice to see some other ones too.  I had no idea what my poodle even was. lol

These are the ones I have so far! About half are from childhood, the other half have all been thrift store finds. The afghans and dalmatians in the middle are the fakies.

AHHHH! You have my baby nala!!!! I had one of those when I was a kid and was in LOVE with that little set! Where did you get her? Is she from your childhood or did you buy her? Even more so.. do you have an extra?!?! 

I've been searching for her forever lol. Glad to see another person that had this because most people think that I'm crazy and the toy didn't exist

Sheepdog barbie dogs? Why did no-one tell me this before? Pleeeeeease can I see some close-up piccies?

They are all so cute. I have a Sindy Afghan hound but now need the Barbie ones too...

That particular Nala was a thrift store find, I actually got the complete set amazingly. It was right after someone had posted a thread about them too so luckily I knew what to look for! They're called Lion King Jungle Friends Babies, and there were quite a few sets made. If you google them a good amount of pictures/info comes up. I had Nala as a child, the one where she's laying in a leaf cradle and her eyes close when you feed her her bottle. The baby cheetah is my grail of those! I have...5? 6? of them now lol.


I can get some closeups later Pink. The sheepdogs unfortunately were one of the few my real dog chewed up, and my ten year old self tried to "fix" them, with mixed results.

As promised pink! I think I tried to use white out to "repair" the ones head and...yeah xD I should fix them for real now that I have more skillz and some extra flocking.

Well lucky for you, they're kind of hard to find! I rarely come across them, when I do there's like 4-5 of them though which is how I got so many.
