A very special new arrival!

I'm finally a BJD owner! I purchased this rather gorgeous girl (a Resinsoul Ju) from Barbgirl right here in the Dollhouse, and I could not be more pleased with her! She was a complete impulse buy, and it just goes to show that sometimes it's best to follow your first instinct! I have named her Alyss, there will be no prizes for guessing what inspired that name!

Lol, my awful photography doesn't do her justice whatsoever! She's so stunning, I don't know why some people look down their noses at Resinsoul dolls, there is nothing cheap about this girl..

I'm hoping my photography skills will improve (soon!) so that I can post lots more spammage of her in future, I'm shopping for her new wardrobe right now, so we'll want to show that off!

When she arrived she took one look at my pony collection and decided she needed some of her own. My petites now belong to her. *hmf*

If anyone can recommend good dressmakers, props or other MSD-friendly things, I would be much obliged!

Etsy is an excellent place to shop for BJD clothes!  A lot of people would recommend Monstro Designs for BJD clothes because they're cheap. I've personally had a lot of problems with things not fitting, her getting my orders wrong and flat out not shipping my items, so I don't do business with her anymore, but other people have been ok.  You just get what you pay for, I suppose.

One thing I'd like to point out is that your girl is MSD, but also known as "slim mini" or "minifee (mnf) size"  so she'll be thinner than the standard MSD, though most MSD items will fit
But know that anything made for Minifee (MNF) or slim mini is the size you're going to really want

Yay!  So glad to see pics of her in her new home, she looks like she's settling in nicely with you!  I'm glad you're happy with her, my first doll was an impulse buy as well, and it's been a whirlwind ever since, haha!

Etsy is a great place to shop for clothes, and you can usually find some good deals on there.  I've gotten a few things from Monstro Designs and I will say this, be prepared to WAIT...forever.  Her clothes/wigs are adorable and affordable (that pink wig she's wearing is a MD fur wig) but she takes forever to ship, even things that are already made and in her shop, lol. 

Be wary when buying shoes for her because, as Knibitz pointed out, she's a slim mini.  Most MSD or 1/4-sized shoes are going to be too big for her, lol.  I like to put them in clunky boots, then it doesn't matter, haha.

Actually, Monstro Design has some really cool stuff, I'm disappointed to hear their customer service isn't great, but better to find out now than later!

Also I've ordered from MonstroDesigns a couple of times and had no problems so I guess the service is hit and miss.

I've only heard great things from friends who've ordered from Monstro about their customer support.
Never ordered myself though as I like to make my dolls' clothes myself ^^'

OMGoodness...I love her hair and enchanting eyes. Wow she is wOnDERfuL!  You could get so creative with her. The possibilities are endless thats for sure.  I can't wait to see what all you do with her!!
