Breyerfest!

Who's going to Breyerfest?!?!? I've never been before and I'm so excited!!! I don't really collect Breyers - more just enjoy the ones I already have - but I know I won't be able to get away without at least a Stablemate. Plus we are taking the opportunity to enjoy the horse park as well, which was always one of my favorite outings as a little girl.

So who else will be there!?!!?

The events at the park start bright and early tomorrow morning.  People start lining up around 5 if they want to be among the first into the Breyer store (known as the Ninja Pit of Death on Friday morning), but it doesn't open until 9 and there's no reason to get there that early if you're not hunting highly limited items.  I have a ticket for the 10:30 special item line so I'll still be there  in time for the opening but won't bother trying to get into the main store until after the line dies down some. 

Room sales have already started here at the hotel (Clarion) and have actually probably been going a few days already.  There's also the Artisan's Gallery here which I believe started tonight.

This was a NAN year so folks have been down there for several days already, sadly no go this year.  Maybe next.  Have fun who ever is there.

Never been. @_@ I used to have someone that got horses there, and I would buy them off her. I do miss that sometimes.

I forgot to take my camera yesterday morning so I just have a rather poor cell phone pic of the opening day line.  This is how it looked a full hour before the gates opened:

The entrance is just out of the shot to the right (Breyerfest uses the side entrance rather the the main one off to the left) and obscured by trees.


I did remember my camera today.  They had these ponies in the paddock next to where we came in:

The special items line goes really fast once it's your ticket time.  Your position is determined by the number on your ticket and a random draw.

He was a blind bag item and I'm thrilled with the version I got.  I've got another ticket for this afternoon but they sell out of these pretty fast; so, we'll see if I can get another.
