Bumping because we let this fall into the second page (shame on us) and to brag I FINALLY got Jude's wig

I found someone selling it on Ebay, on a MH doll, for the same price as just the wig on Amazon, or Ebay (if I had been searching for just the wig.)  Also got a stand in the deal, which is another $4-ish dollars in savings:)

Still trying to pin-point Prue's wig.  I thought I had it (even bought it) but now I'm not so sure......Why do so many of the wigs look the same to me?

Once the rain lets up I'll be taking some new photos to spam with! I still haven't photographed any of my new babies (I got three replacement kiddos and a fourth gift one the other day) and have a lot of photos to take for my Etsy shop.

That green wig is absolutely gorgeous!

I snagged a box of dolls from Freecycle last week - mainly lil Bratz but also a few barbie clothes and a rather manky Liv doll...cleaned her up, popped some clothes and a new wig on her and I'm very happy Called her Trixy

She looks great:)  The only dolls I've bought, have had the horrid bodies:(  I think if I owned a decent bodied doll, I'd have to have 'em all.  Maybe it's best that never happened

After the super discount sales when the line was discontinued, the dolls went back to regular price (and in some cases, way over regular price) but now things are starting to even out.  I'm sorta wanting to buy a second set of the Brites line.  I love them SO much!

BUT there are plenty of dolls I DON'T have, that I want too so......?

The boots are Frankies Ghouls Rule boots - most of the MH boots seem to just about fit, as do the Bratzillaz ones.

I love the Brites but the only dolls I have which aren't fully articulated are a couple of elderly Sindys, I have so far been able to resist the allure of anything else, plus it just bugs me when they aren't articulated.

I have recently gotten a Sleepover Sophie doll in a Cinderella dress at Savers and I love her eyes. The lashes really make them pop. If I can find an Alexis I might just end up replacing the heads on my two hybrids.

Is there anyone here from Alberta Canada that can tell me where to buy these dolls and wigs in Canada besides e-bay? They, along with Moxie Teenz where discontinued so the only place I can find them ( if I a lucky) is Value Village, sometimes kijiji. ( Usually all bald and naked lmao ). I am customizing a doll right now and I had to order some wigs off e-bay, holy cow with shipping the wigs are as much as the dolls! I thought about making my own wigs but not sure if it would look as good as the bought ones. Any suggestions? Also, anyone have good recommendations of sellers on etsy who can custom make outfits?

You could try Amazon. Livs (dolls, wigs, and clothes) show up on the Arena from time to you. You might also want to keep an eye on Monster High sales forums, as Liv wigs tend to be used with CAMs and such a fair bit.

As far as making your own wigs, you should try! I think I have a few tutorials bookmarked I can dig up, and I know of one website that offers free fabric swatches, including faux fur swatches large enough to make an MH wig each (so that would likely work on a Liv too). I think the website is called Distinctive Fabrics or something like that, if they still do the offer. I can get the name for sure tomorrow if anyone wants it.
