The Liv Thread! [pic heavy]

I have a few Livs, but I honestly don't like their faces that much. All of the ones I have were picked up for the wigs and then body-swapped with Barbie.

Would anyone here be interested in the heads from the ones I body-snatched? No clue which ones they are, but I can get a picture if anyone's interested.

Are they really being discontinued or am I reading this wrong? The wigs are perfect but the clothing wouldn't really fit my Moxie Teen.

They've already been discontinued and have disappeared from most store shelves.

And Gryffindor, I'm sure someone would be interested! I know I would be if I had any extra money.

If I remember correctly, they were completely shut down during Fall if 2012? Any inventory they still had, they sent out to stores, but once it hit Fall 2012, everything was done, no more production, no more releases, nothing. >,<; From then on they slowly disappeared from store shelves on clearance, and once people found out their wigs fit MH dolls, they went away faster.

As of right now, I don't think I need any spare heads or eyes at the moment, but if you post pictures of what you have anyways, some people might be interested in buying some of them!

I'd be most interested in identification of the ones I do have, and I hope it's okay to post they are available for sale or trade? The green eyed one, I have had before and just can't recall her name.

I wanted the black and dark colored wigs from the huge lot I bought and these are what is left that I have no need for since I don't collect LiV. There are at least two more blonde wigs, but since I only need black wigs, these are of no use to me.

The Liv Wigs also fit Moxie Teens as long as you snip the wig peg off, but since my Moxie Teen girl will have a hole in her head ( to change eye colors and positions, she'll always have an open head cap so the peg is no issue )

These are the girls, the clothing won't fit my MT either, so I just took the dark wigs from the lot and have all this left.

Looks like first wave Daniela, Sophie, Alexis, and Katie. The striped white shirt & white pants go with Katie, the dress Alexis is in is her own, the red cropped jacket is Alexis', the tennis shoes are either Daniela's (black and pink) or Katie's (pink and purple), brown(?) boots are Alexis', the blonde wig is Sophie's, and the black wig seems to be Daniela's. I don't think anything else is their stock.

With their SUPER amazing articulations, clothes designs, glass/clear eyes, amazing wigs, Flexibility in customization and body size/shape/proportions they had SOOOOOoooOoOoOOooOOOOO much potential and everything!!! but what the heck happened to make them get discontinued like that?!

Honestly, between the other dolls I collect (MH/MG) Liv is still my most favorite line and it's such a shame they ended so suddenly. Then again, if I can remember reading somewhere from Wikipedia, they first made their appearance in 08'/09?? a 3 year run.

Released in summer 2012, La Dee Da is a new fashion brand set to replace Liv World, which is said to be discontinued in fall.

They really should've just "revamped" the Liv line, started releasing more unique lines. Like (more) fairy tales, monsters, aliens, ~extreme fashion~, etc. Maybe even introduced new characters to use more popular concepts.

I put some 14mm eyes in one of my girls today.

I had to take my boyfriend's pocket knife and shave off a LOT of plastic, the back "eye skin" and a ton all around the eye hole (obviously her head had to be cut open for this, but I did that a while ago). It took quite a while, was very messy, and she's still not perfect. These aren't her permanent eyes so I'm not too fussed about it. They still manage to look really nice, but as you can tell you can't see the whites of the eyes much. You can also very obviously tell how far back they have to sit from the side. They still manage to catch a bit of light, but its best to shine light directly into the face instead of overhead.

I probably won't decide on or order her eyes until my friend paints her for me. But I'll probably go with glowing Ersa Flora eyes. :3

Changing the eyes is tricky, but very rewarding.

So I Decided to bring this girl back out and changed some things about her!

She's gonna need a new name, but not sure what it should be.

Since she'll always be having a bang over her eye, having a crazy/evil eye hidden under it actually would be cool.

Current ideas for her background:

She's just a new character who becomes friends with Capri one day visiting her and Lexa's family restaurant and visits occasionally and possibly become more than friends.

She's a volunteer for a Lamaze program who is assigned to be Capri's partner who she becomes friends with.

She's a photographer who becomes friends with Capri and uses Capri as her model for her pictures.

She's their other distant cousin who also comes to live with Lexa a little later after Capri and is evil, the opposite of Capri.

She's Capri's evil sister with a grudge out to get her for what happened to her other half of her face from an accident long ago.

This'll be fun to decide what to do with her.

Luvly, you are a nut:)  I'd love to spend one day inside your head just to see all the wheels turning and stuff.  How do you come up with all these crazy ideas???

I especially like the last two!  If she's gonna have an evil eye, she should have a super cool evil backstory :evil laugh:
