Pony hair everywhere
« on: July 15, 2012, 05:24:14 PM »
This is what I've been doing the last two days.

I went on a reharing spree for some of my ponies. Little Bubbles was a childhood sea pony and probably lived twenty years in a bathtub toy box, so she was pretty gross inside. Her hair was beyond ruined, so I gave her a new mane. Celebrate is a new one I got, and she has some major grossness and marker stains I'll have to try and sun fade I suppose. I had some left over plugs from the two Lily's though, so pulled that head over and fix her hair. She had a cut mane and hair in worse condition than my Bubbles.

The two Lily's and Forget Me Not came from flutter lots I got. The ponies were pretty much awful on the inside and their tail plugs not only had rusted washers, but rusted tail clamps. Decided they would be good practice for rehairing. I'm actually in love with Forget  Me Nots hair. I did her hair in Starlight and even though it's hard to tell in the picture it's so shiny and reflects the light. Love it!

Anyway just bragging on myself since I'm still new to the rehairing, and I did so many at once....now I should probably cut their hair shorter. I just like playing with it. ;3;

Haha, thank you!
I have a few wingers that will soon be under the rehair treatment. What a lovely pair then our flutters would make. Do you have pictures? I'm curious as to how it looks. I have a Hollywood I'm rehairing soon and need to think of options for her.

Moss: Thank you dear. I'm just glad to have them and have the girls looking better and brighter. I suppose the next step will be wing making.

I'm anxiously awaiting your winger pics!  I'm so glad we're friends:)
Absolutely stunning! I'm so jealous of your creativity for beautiful color combinations. I half want to rehair a Rosedust or Starry Wings with After Midnight. I just love the idea of a soft yellow color with the dark rich deep blue. I'm not sure it would look good with their symbols though, so I hesitate.

That dusty Moonlight might actually look beautiful on Hollywood. I've had a tough time debating. I thought Starlight, then maybe some glow hair so she could glow and then still look like a normal Hollywood.

Hehe, I hope to have a picture up sometime this week or next week maybe. My little wingers need to visit the spa, and I'm afraid they will not all be rehaired and some re winged for their first picture. I do want to take a photo of them though in their new home. I'm glad to have a friend as well that I can talk to about the sweet little winged ponies. :frolic:

Lightning: Thank you for the sweet comment. It really does give the girls their look but with a little flair. Now I just have to make her wings to match the lovely hair do.

Very cool, sometimes a change in hair color or length makes then look great.  I would suggest next time you sun fade first, then you do not have to worry about the hair.

Wow, now that's some talent. I've tried to rehair some flutters and got so frustrated that I gave up. But yours look wonderful! I love the super long hair on Forget Me Not.  One of my favorites!

Haha you're right I should have! I just had that part of a hank of hair laying there and the pony beside me, and I was all "eh what will it hurt?"
I don't plan to do it for the others though and have some ponies without hair sunfading currently. I just figured with her hair being short it wouldn't be as big a pain.

Yuru, Pink & Tiella: Thanks so much! Lol I'll still totally jealous of Michelle's color matching rehair ability. :P

Surprise: Thanks hun. Oh don't get frustrated! I will say those flutters took the longest to do since I had a harder time seeing with small neck plugs. I noticed that two of them, the two that had been through the worst of it their heads were hard as rocks. I couldn't bend it any way to look better at what I was doing. It was a pain and took forever. I'm all about patience though since I had sew.

Kiss: Thank you for your kind words you sweet thing you.  :frolic:
