Let's see your ponies at the beach!!!

I'm dying to go right now but we haven't made it there yet. It's just been too hot! So let's see some of your ponies at the beach! Unfortunately, when we do go, the ponies won't be able to join me. There is still far too much oil on our beach from the spill a few years ago for the ponies to be safe.

we unfortunately don't have a beach here where I live, but I am also dying to travel a little and go to one asap, it's so hot here!
it looked like we may make it to a lake on Sunday, but in the end we couldn't go but if things go well next weekend we may have a one-day trip to Italy. the last time I had the opportunity to swim in the sea was 14 years ago, so I'd really be happy if we managed to go

Hey, I've been to Dauphin Island! It's really close to where we used to take our family vacations (Gulf Shores/Orange Beach). I'd love to go again, but I have heard that it still is quite icky. Either way, Cotton Candy sure is looking nice and fun and summery!

Very cool! We are in Mobile so Dauphin Island isn't far. I like it there because there are usually so few people. Unfortunately though, it is still really icky. You walk on the beach and your feet end up coated in this icky black gross. It's awful. Don't believe those evil commercials that try to tell you how clean the beaches are. But hopefully Baby CC will be able to go back eventually.

Oh! I live in a (horrible) seaside town, wow, maybe I should take some ponies to the beach if the weather ever lightens up.. I live 5 minutes away from the beach, haha!!

That's awful. The last time we went to Orange Beach was about six months before it happened. It was awful. I cried like a baby. Even though I live far inland, I love the ocean so much.

Back on topic though, if in the event it gets cleared up again soon, I'd love to take some pics of my Sea Ponies just chillin' out in the sand.

I am 5 mins from the beach but alas the current weather means the ponies and I would need wellington boots, scarves and woollen hats to survive!

it seems we'll also make it to Italy, we have paid for the trip and have the reserve already (we'll go on the 20th of July, travel during the night and we'll have the whole 21th there), but the suspicious girl I am tells me to believe it all only once we arrived there
I'll try to smuggle a pony in my backpack and take some pics ^^

I have got to get to the seaside....I swear I was a marine creature in a previous life. I love is and am so jealous of you who live right near the sea! I've always lived within five minutes walk of a river/canal/lake wherever I've been but the sea is different.

I totally agree with this. I have always lived close to a river and we have nice lakes, but the sea is different. one thing I love about it (and why I love it much more) is that you can see through it, which isn't true to our rivers and lakes unfortunately. and there's nothing I love more than being underwater and watching the sea creatures around me. I wish I could do that without spending awful loads of money to travel abroad for this...
