Sunfading question
« on: July 08, 2012, 11:16:13 AM »
When sunfading, how long do you guys keep one side of the pony facing the window before turning it to it's other side?  A few days? I don't wanna leave a side in too long / too short. D:

I leave it until it looks how I want it too, which could be a few days to a few weeks, or more.

Its going to depend on the intensity of your sun and the amount of sunlight you get in a "day"...:)

Personally I would turn it with regularity rather than blast one side and then blast the other - i.e. if they need 2 weeks in the sun...maybe 3 days one way, turn 3 days, turn 3 days, etc, etc - until you get the finish you wish.

I do the same as Cat, although if I'm a bit impatient, I'll turn it more frequently.

This is what I do too...only I have mine in the outside in the real sun! Has worked on quite a few seemingly hopeless cases!  In full sun - doesn't take all that long! (be careful to protect their eyes and symbols! Hair seems to be okay)

Okay, another sun fading question: Does sun fading help yellowed G1 ponies who were originally white?

It depends on the pony as quite a few white ponies [including some Starshines, some Gingerbreads, etc] can move from yellow right into tan rather then white with sun exposure. But as Rels guide shows sunfading does usually work to remove yellowing - just always monitor the process regularly :)
