Love the expression on her face and that HAIR!

I love her hair.  I think that blend of hair may be my second favorite I've used (my first favorite will have to wait a while to be revealed, since it's for a swap!)  I found a pack of milkshake straws at work, and they're about twice the thickness of regular straws, even bigger than McDonald's straws, and rolled spirals on those to make them nice and loose.  I was very pleased with the results!

Her spikes are rhinestones, glued with the sparkly face of the stone against the armor, eliminating my need to worry about getting all the spikes exactly the same size.

That's freaking genius.

This was only my 2nd attempt with using Apoxie and I'm still not 100% confident in my skills with it, so I didn't want to have to do a lot of tiny details.  The only problem with this method is that there's a little bit of a gap between the armor and the spikes because of the facets on the face of the stone, but these are 2mm and 3mm stones so it's not super obvious.
