I found my camera (its too small, it gets lost easy), so I thought I'd post some photos of a work in progress: the restoriation of my childhood Pretty Parlour! After a lot of thought and experimentation that led to nothing, I decided to just let the sun have at it. here are the results so far:
Here are the two side panels, the left one that has been sitting in the unseasonably warm Canadian sun for a couple weeks, the right one straight out of the basement.

loginSee how the stunning shade of blech has faded somewhat? That's from a non-smoking house, too, just years of neglect-grot.
Here are the door and stage, again the left one has been sitting in sun and the right not. A bit blurry, but the colours are true.

loginAgain, all yellowing is just age and sitting in a cardboard box for years. Meh.
Well, they're now all on my windowsill and waiting for el sol to do its magic.
