Tuneful, I've seen those loli dresses before and loved them! Thanks for giving us info, I couldn't find them anymore.

I was thinking about what Mattel could do with other Scary Tale dolls, and when Cleo came to mind, I instantly thought of "The Princess and the Pea."  I'm not sure how the story goes, except the princess couldn't sleep with a pea under her mattress.  Please correct me if I'm wrong:)  I also wanted to think outside the Disney-box   I like that Red Riding Hood was included in the line.

You're quite correct! I love the stories of Hans Christian Andersen! Here's the ''full'' story, sorry if you aren't interested, haha.

There once was a prince that had to marry soon, but he couldn't find a bride. But seeing as he couldn't just marry anyone, he and his parents came up with a plan. They would test who's a real princess! The plan was to let anyone that wanted to marry him, had to sleep a top of many, many (20 actually) matresses with a (secretly placed) pea underneath them all. If they could feel the pea underneath all of those matresses, it would prove they're a real princess. Because the royal family knew only a princess could have such a sensitive skin. Many girls came by their castle, but every one of them managed to sleep well.

On a stormy night, someone knocked on their door. It was a girl that looked horrible because of all the rain. However, she claimed to be a princess. So she had to take the same test just like the rest of the ''princesses''. When she woke up the next morning, the queen asked her if she slept alright. To which she replied that she couldn't sleep because something was poking in her back the whole night. It felt like there was a huge rock underneath her bed. They were convinced she was a princess and the prince and princess were allowed to marry!

Thanks, Tiffoes:)  I've always wondered about that story but never looked into it   I remember looking at a picture book about it before I was able to read.  I would make up my own story to go with the pictures.  I always thought the Princess was just high matinence:)  I guess that's why Cleo came to mind

Tuney, is that the afro wig you were talking about forever-ago?  I never got a chance to see it, because (if I remember correctly) it didn't suit your needs......  Where did it come from?  Did you have to do any modifying to get on Clawd's head?

Well, my friend was invited to write an article for Candy, a transgender magazine. So I thought it would be a good idea to do a little drag shoot. My friend is going to show my pics to the editor. It's a small chance that they'll actually get used, but I had to give it a shot!

grzan - It's a Moxie wig! One finally went up for sale on ebay. It's the same wig Tyra Fangs has been wearing in ANTM (see below). I basically just clamped it on Clawd's head best as I could...

Are the Scary Tales girls exclusive to one store? I have been trying to keep track, but I just got lost somewhere...


Side note, I FINALLY got Rochelle today when I stopped by Target on my way home as an early b-day gift to myself.  And I absolutely adore her!! Pictures of her definitely do not that girl justice as she is so stunning in person and....yeah...I just love her to bits.  


They had a lot of her, Jackson, Nefra, Abbey, and Operetta. They also had the new CAM vampire boy and gargoyle set, witch and cat girl sets, and either the werewolf and dragon set or sea creature and whoever she comes with sets that have the second torso. But I did not get any of them...though I was highly tempted.

Ghoulia was the original for me. Now she's not that interesting to me anymore.

I didn't like Ghoulia at first, but she's really grown on me. I think it's partly because I can identify with her personality ~ I was the nerdy one in high school too.

And I agree, the Gargoyle boy is my favorite boy too. Though I'm partial to Clawd in the webisodes, I just don't like his dolls all that much (Okay, maybe I do like his original a bit). I'm just thinking of naming my gargoyle Goyle to be nice and uncreative. ROFL
