Cleaning pony stamps?
« on: June 28, 2012, 08:15:25 PM »
Just bought the G1 merry-go-round game off ebay and my daughter loves it! The only problem is that the stamps need to be cleaned so the image comes out better. Any idea what I should use?

Rubber stamp? Unscented, aloe-free, additive-free, alcohol-free, plain-old baby wipes.

I agree with Teresat! But you could also try Hobby lobby or michaels craft store for a stamp cleaner?

Baby wipes is the best way...but they are only completely effective usually immediately after use or before the ink can properly set on the plastic mould...if these are 80s/90s stamps and the ink has been on them ever since...then you ll need something a little more aggressive but which doesnt damage the stamp itself...

I use stamps a lot and this is the stuff I buy for cleaning...

The other problem could be either the rubber itself has degraded or the foam backing degraded.

Totally OT but Cat you use SU?! I used to use them all the time. I still make my own cards ....there is a huge stamping forum that I still visit once in a while.

Yes I love them! Their international shipping can be a tiny bit painful sometimes but a friend of mine got me into card making years ago so we tend to group buy! :) Plus I have a lovely little craft shop in town who stock some of their products which is super handy!
