Hi I was wondering how much dolly hair hanks would you need to rehair a mh gal, or even which type of hair to use? Saran, nylon or whatever? Hahaha. I was leaning towards nylon because it's soft and silky and curlys nicely >.>! Ideas anyone?

I used about 3 MLP hanks to rehair my Toralei. She's got really full hair tho. I just ordered some new hair for my Operetta and I chose one 38" hank of the base color and one MLP hank of highlight color. I think the normal 38" hank is twice the size of a MLP hank since the price is double. I use nylon to rehair my dolls, because I find it easiest to style and it doesn't get messy easily.

If you are going to order from dollyhair I asked the owner the same question and she replied with this:

A Barbie hank will usually do the trick, but since the MH heads are bigger than Barbie heads, you may want to order a small amount of additional hair in the same color. If you're ordering saran hair, order an RD hank in addition. If you're ordering nylon hair, order a My Little Pony hank in addition. You can cut these hanks yourself, to the length that you need, once you receive them.

She did mention it all depends on how thickly you want to reroot but ordering that extra hank will be plenty! - hope that helps
