Hmm I've been wondering the same thing - is there anything to be done for discoloration? I dunno, but I am eyeing this thread for an answer now. I always wondered because it would be cool to be able to fix a mismatched head/body too. She's beautiful btw!

I'd suggest a oxi bath or some peroxide on her. She doesn't look too bad at all, she's very lovely.

If the discolouration is an over all "yellow-ness" then I would think a sunfade may achieve something. Although too much sun for coloured ponies will eventually fade the plastic, as long as you balance it out you should manage to shift the "yellow-ness" before the colour of the plastic is affected. You are a sun fading genius so I am sure you ll get on great with that! :P

If I recall, Rel sold almost her entire G1 US/UK/Euro collection and decided to focus on Argies.  :D

if any of the discoloration looks like stains, I'd try some sunfading first.
if it looks like regrind there's not anything you can do :(
she looks great!
my argie power with red hair is not blotchy, but she's overall faded from the lavender I can still see in her neck plug - I don't think that body color held up well down there ;)

youre close!! i actually did sell every last one of my non-argie ponies! (except for childhood ones of course)
and so now that is literally the only thing i collect :)
so 100% of my pony budget goes to argies. Ive also been collecting them for a while, my first one i bought was in 2009
and ive been obsessed ever since!  :P

oh and PS thats also why i have soooo many pics of ponies ready to post... i sold (and photographed) all my ponies individually on ebay
so i have a very pony-full photobucket ;)

I'd say pass on the peroxide soak. Awhile back there was a comment on a thread that someone soaked that shade of hair and it turned yellow!!
Sunfading sounds like your best bet Rel.

oh yes good point!!
ok i will try to sunfade her... but i was thinking it was the sun that discolored her in the first place...
so what do you think made her that way?

Could just simply be a yellowing in the plastic - a build up of dirt & grime which have soaked into the plastic pores and after any clean to remove surface dirt have left behind an over all stain - or she could have been exposed over time to some kind of air quality or very humid conditions which the plastic reacted to...
