G4 customizing Question - Neckplugthingie

This question is for people who have customized regular play line G4 ponies. The small size.

I managed to get my hands on a loose G4 (the small size not the bigger styling size) that has a haircut. But when I went to take her head off I realize it's different from the older ponies.

There is this giant neckplug thingie. If I am going to do a reroot of tail and mane I've got to be able to get at the tail.

So, what do you G4 customizers do? Do you cut out that neckplug to get at the tail or?

Yes, you need to cut it from neck and glue back after you're finished.

Okiegurls is the best tutorial!!!!  I know I watched it a few times before digging in and doing a G4 custom.
