Alternate Re-Hair Swap! SHIPPING DEADLINE OCTOBER 1ST!

Ooh, I want to do this. Hopefully I'll find time to fill out the form this week.

Any thoughts/feelings/rules about using ponies that aren't completely mint in the body? I know we'll all try to find the best looking pony we can, but not always can a proper pony be found with manky hair but perfect body. Are tiny scuffs or marks on the body okay?

I just don't want to disappoint a super picky swap buddy if I happen to not be able to find a perfect body.

I am not a picky collector at all.  Most of ponies in my herd have some form of imperfections.  I'd rather have a manky pony be rehaired than one that has a pristine body but bad hair.  That is kind of a general rule I have; only rehair ponies who's body flaws seriously detract from their overall value.

i would so love to do this, but i would have to buy whatever pony i would have to rehair. i dont bait g1s, dont have any to bait. i will have to get back to this before the deadline. i have so many i would love to see with new colored hair, especially my favorite, bow tie.

I'm not picky, either.  I don't like cancer or serious ink/highlighter marks, but I'm not particular about small flaws.  I figure they're toys, and flaws show they were well-loved.   That being said, I would try to provide my partner with one that had a near-mint body, or only minor flaws if I knew the person wasn't picky, since I know other collectors are sometimes more particular than I am.

I definitely don't mind flaws. I don't usually bait restore-able g1's usually so partner, I don't mind if you use an imperfect body

Rainbowjuice, to me picking only 25 was hard, I would have had about 35 ponies in my list I found it easiest to find possible rehairing candidates to my list by looking at an identification guide that had prices in it. (Myrskytär's identification guide, it's in Finnish though).

It's actually quite easy! I thought I'd have trouble coming up with 20, but it wasn't hard at all.

So happy to hear other people are okay with minor flaws or marks. I don't mind them at all and I worried what looked fine to me would look awful to a swap partner. I think it gives them personality lol

Looking at ponies to put my list together- I noticed there are several with the bright pink body and the turquois hair. That has to be my least favorite color combination. Followed by the dark purple with the lemon hair. Looking forward to all the different new combinations people come up with!

I did the same thing. I was like, "Hmmm, 20 ponies? I dunno."
Yah, scrolling through Dream Valley and Strawberry Reef I came up with like 30 in 10 minutes. There are so many ponies I would like to see in colors I love.

ok I am going to try to rehair another pony tonight (might be just the head you get to see xD  )  but I can't say no to this anymore.  I know I shouldn't do it, but I really want another alternate rehair.  >.<

Hunny, I'm not a customizer, just a rehairer!  Trust me, I have zero artistic ability:).
