At last she's done!!

I was able to give it a shot at making a Queen Chrysalis custom!

She's done with a plastic-haired Celestia body with a lot of substraction happening to shape mainly the legs (which have no added clay on them, they're all made with the original plastic).
The head and body have sculpted parts with Apoxie, and the wings are made of acrylic glass cut to the shape of the wings and painted with transparent iridescent glass paint

which is gorgeous in real life.
The crown is made of gunmetal beading headpins with 4mm beads glued on top.
Her mane and tail were rehaired with a mix of Dollyhair's Atomic Turquoise and Pacific Ocean.
She's been completely painted with acrylics and sealed with Testor's dullcote and Liquitex gloss varnish on the eyes.

She took A LOT of hours of work, and I'm incredibly proud of her

...Wow. My mouth fell open when I scrolled down just far enough to see the eyes. I honestly don't think Hasbro could do this better.

Stunning! I can't imagine it was any kind of easy to carve away all of that hard plastic. o_o Everything about this is perfect, from the materials used to the technique that brought them together.

I love, love, love it! Her eyes look fantastic and I really like her wings:D What did you use to make them? One day I might attempt to make her, but it is truly commendable to anyone who does. She is probably the most time consuming character to try and create! My only crit is that I pictured her hair as more of a teal, but the blue looks fabulous too:)

You never cease to amaze me. I was wondering how people would go about making a brushable Chrysalis, and how it probably wouldn't work well. But you totally kicked that thought's butt, haha. You've done an amazing job once again on your custom, it looks just like Chrysalis! Did you make her legs more slender? My only complaint is the haircolour, it looks a bit too blue. But I think you've done great with what tools you had in hand! I really like those little teeth you made for her~ > u <
