Pop's Wing Tutorial
« on: June 12, 2012, 08:02:57 AM »
Since the threads on the old Arena seem to be stuck over there for the time being, I've decided to repost some of my tutorial threads on the new Arena. ;)
I know it can be an absolute pain to try to get through an old thread before the redirect kicks in.

This is a picture tutorial on how to make wings from printed transparency sheets. Please feel free to post of PM me with any questions. :)

Thank you so much for reposting here! It was driving me crazy trying to use the other site and/or save each individual picture, heh heh.

Any suggestions on a cheap place for buying transparency sheets? Our local big box office supply store was selling a box of 50 inkjet printer transparencies for $70!!! I ended up buying 6 from someone on etsy for $10, which is okay, but if you know some place cheaper... Still need to check out WalMart...

Where can you get gallery glass (or is there something similar I can use?)  I used to see it at Michaels, but when I went there to look for it recently, they told me they no longer carry it >.<  I love this tutorial, though, I have been planning on trying it!

Hmm, last time I was at Michael's they had it. I have an unopened 8 oz bottle if you want to buy it.

doooood!
Gonna try this at some point.

I wunder tho, If you use resin coated transparencies... can you skip the sealer stage? Resin does lock the ink in something wonderful!
