Novi stars?

Went to Target and picked up the other two today...now I've got them all...wasn't planning on getting Mae...but I just couldn't leave her behind  I heard there is Nita Lite coming out...she's in some type of dome thingy. There is a message board at this link...it's brand new and only has a few posts, but I think it will keep you updated on the latest Novi news!

Okay, 3 complaints:
1: THE BOX IS STUPID. It's hard to get to her. Is there supposed to be a science to this?
2: Hair is thinly rooted in the back, but I guess it's not too bad because you can brush the hair in the way. She's also got iffy box hair.
3: NO BRUSH DX Thankfully I have craptons of MH brushes. Hehe.

BUT SHE IS SO PRECIOUS. I loove the size. I missed it in the pics, but she has little ringed planets in her eyes. TOO CUTE.
Just...everything about this doll is precious.

mine was really hard to get out too! I destroyed the box in the process....

So I opened up my Alie and she is precious! I really like the light up effect and I think it's clever and preferable that the light is attached to her backpack and not inside her body lol.

I agree that the box was a nightmare to open. Tabs, tabs everywhere...

I'm kinda wanting Allie now too.
But it's not only tabs, I couldn't even get to the tabs at first!

The boxes are enough to make me re consider just collecting them mint in box. lol Really hard to open without scissors. 

I totally didn't realize they didn't come with a brush.

I cut myself opening up Una, didn't know it until I got home [yeah, I opened her in the parking lot.... so what? ] I had a nasty [bloody] scratch on my finger..... the things we do for our love of dolls

I managed without scissors but there are honestly too many tabs! I'm not even taking about the taped down tabs behind the inner cardboard... I'm talking about the tabs that go around the outer plastic of the box on both the top and bottom that need to be prised open to even reach the inner taped down tabs! lol Talk about overkill. Very nice box though... it's just shite trying to get it open and I feel bad for children who try without parental assistance. Nearly sliced my finger open on the plastic edge trying to pull those evil tabs out.

Between Novi Stars packaging and La Dee Das packaging, I can't decide which is more frustrating. I actually did slice the skin on the inside of my fingernail trying to get the LDD one open so maybe that wins out.

As someone who unboxed a La Dee Da and a Novi Star today.. I have to say that Una Verse was way worse than my Tylie! She had plastic around her body after I got her free of the box! And she had all these strings in her hair. I had to brush her hair back into place after finally freeing her!

Totally worth it though! She's beautiful. Her arm popped off in the process though but they pop right back on!

Yep, in the car, in the Target parking lot. It was bad, because the box is so difficult it had to have taken like 3-5 minutes to get it out. I started looking around like "No one is watching me, right? No one is staring at me and my inability to open a child's toy?!"

OMG, so love Una. I want Allie now.

But her eyes, her eyes are just precious, and my fiancee keeps looking at me weird because I'll randomly shake up the glitter. P:

I don't even mind the lack of articulation. She's more of a decoration this way. And unlike most dolls lacking articulation, she still looks nice and natural.
