To echo everyone else's sentiment: Wow, she is so tiny. I wasn't expecting her to be so small

They're $20, unjointed, and half the size of MH dolls?

Definitely not buying any unless they're on serious clearance. I am so disappointed in this line. ):

lol If you put it that way, yeah. I was hoping they'd be big to see how they'd look compared to other dolls, I think I've seen all I need to see. XP

Was so excited, now I'm just bummed out, but glad I don't have to collect this line.

I like the small size... lol They're so tiny! Like little aliens. I love taking pictures of my toys.. though I'm no photographer and I only have my phone camera. But still! I think they will look adorable with my monsters and of course my Punzie and Bloom!

I'm still pretty psyched for them  :biggrin:

They are actually supposed to be around $18 which is not too bad especially considering Mae talks and Allie lights up (tho it is slightly unfair that Ari and Una don't have any fancy electronics but still cost the same). Anyways Little Pullips and Dals are even smaller, also unjointed, and cost even more (and that isn't even counting the cost of having them shipped here) plus they don't talk or light up or anything like that.

I like that they're small! .. but I agree about the price, if they turn out to be €20 or more around here, I won't be getting Ari until I see her on clearance. ^^;

So, I saw them in person yesterday at Target. They were right next to the MH dolls. They were $19.99. I was so excited to see them, and then I checked them out up close. I must say, I am underwhelmed.

They ARE tiny, about the size of my full hand.

OK, Una was the one I had wanted. The glitter was supposed to move shen you turned her upside down. instead, a bubble floated to the end of both legs and made the glitter hard to actually move... :( So, again, I wonder about the longevity of her body and mold.

Ari, I could not even smell the smell. But, she IS cute.

Alie was the one I liked the best. She surprised me! She is very pretty, but You have to push a button and keep pushing for the light to stay on, no delay.

Mae, they did't have, so I can't comment on her

 They are cute. Still, I can't see $20 for them. The arms are the only joint, at the shoulder. I assume the heads move, but I couldn't tell.

YAY! They are in stores! I'm kind of broke right now though =/

Glad they are out though. I haven't been to target in a little while so I'll be excited when I go there in a few weeks for some doll hunting!

As for them being jointed it looks like it depends on the doll. One Flickr user got Mae and she had elastic at the hips but a different user got Una posted a review and she doesn't have leg joints at all.

I wonder how the legs on the other two are. I suspect Ari has leg joints since she doesn't have liquid in her but I don't know if Allie will have them since her body is supposed to light up.

I still think they're pretty neat if gimmicky but I just can't justify that price tag even with the novelty aspect of it because they're so... soo... tiny! If I could get them cheaper (and the TRUs around me tend to price-gouge more than other Arena members' TRUs, it seems...) I might pick up Alie or Una if I could find them cheaper than $18 but the TRUs around me tend to have a better doll selection than the Targets. :(

I still wonder why people are still saying they cost too much for being so tiny when Little Pullips have been running around $30 lately and yet nobody complains about them being overpriced? Is it because they are from a Japanese company while Novi Stars are from an American company?

TRU canada has them for 24.99. I am unsure I want to spend so much on a tiny doll. And no, I would never buy a mini pullip eother. Total ripoff, they are. But, these are just so damn cute, I might cave ;.;

Sure mini pullips are overpriced, but this thread is not discussing them. Furthermore they are not a hot seller.

I like that the novi stars are smallish.  Even if they were larger, I would wait for them to go on clearance vs paying full retail for what you get.
